Call for Presentations - 22nd Annual MN GIS/LIS Conference - EXTENSION to May 18th
You are invited to submit an abstract for individual and lightning round presentations, panel discussions, posters, or product demonstrations to be considered as part of the 22nd Annual Conference of the Minnesota GIS/LIS Consortium, October 3-5, 2012 in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Abstract submissions are due May 18th, 2012.
Presentation types:
- Lightning round, allotted 12 minutes
- Individual presentation, allotted 25 minutes
- Panel discussion, allotted 60-90 minutes
- Poster, display area four feet high by eight feet wide (both project specific and cartographic exhibits are welcome)
- Product Demonstrations, allotted 25 minutes
The Sessions Committee invites presentations that address broad subjects of interest in GIS/LIS in the following subject areas: Education, Emergency Management, Environmental, GIS applications, Government, Imagery, Mobile GIS, Open Source, Standards, Utilities, Web services/applications.
To submit an abstract, visit the online submission form and follow the instructions provided to the online submission form. A clear, concise abstract is your best ticket to a logical track placement and a well-attended session.

2012 Spring Workshop Registration Now Open!
Registration is now open for the 2012 Minnesota GIS/LIS Spring Workshops. The workshops we be held on May 24th at the University of St. Thomas-St. Paul campus. There are 7 half-day workshops and 1 full-day workshop being offered. Each half-day workshop only costs $75 and the full-day workshop costs $150.

Minnesota GIS/LIS Networking Sponsorship Opportunity
In addition to the fall conference, the Consortium will be hosting two other networking events in 2012. One of the events will immediately follow the spring workshops on May 24th and the other will be in November.

The Consortium hosts annual statewide conferences, and establishes committees that deal with specific GIS/LIS-related issues in Minnesota.
